Recreational Program 2023

Recreational Program U8-U18 (Born 2015-2005)

Kingston United Soccer Club is excited to announce our 2023 recreational program for ages U8-U18(born 2015-2005). Players will have the opportunity to build on the basics of soccer in a positive and fun environment. This is a great way to get active and have fun with your peers!

Programs will include sessions run by club coaches and volunteer coaches under the Canada Soccer format.   These coaches will receive session plans and guidance from our Technical Director.   For more information on plans or questions please email kureccoordinator@gmail.com.

Please take note that in order for our staff to prepare for this season, please have all Friend requests submitted by April 30th. 

Program: Planned start the week June 5th and runs for 12 weeks

All U8-U18 teams will play games in East locations and/or Central locations. East fields  include John Machin and Grenadier. Central Fields include Portsmouth, Nickle and McCullough.  Game schedules will rotate between East and Central fields. 

Cost: $210.00 Includes Uniform (Jersey, shorts, socks) 

U8 to U13 Girls and Boys:

U8/9 Girls (Born 2015/2014) - Monday  6:00-7:30pm 
U8/9 Boys (Born 2015/2014) - Thursday 6:00-7:30pm

10/11 Girls (Born 2013/2012) - Monday  6:00-7:30pm
10/11 Boys (Born 2013/2012) - Tuesday 6:00-7:30pm - REGISTRATION CLOSED

U12/U13 Girls (Born 2011/2010) - Wednesday 6:00-7:30pm
U12/U13 Boys (Born 2011/2010) - Thursday 6:00-7:30pm 

Tentative tournament weekend August 19th and 20th for all U8-U13 Team.

Interlocking League U14+:
Includes teams from Kingston United, Jr. Gaels and  Napanee SC for U14/15 &  U16/17/18 Divisions

U14/U15 Boys (Born 2009/2008) - Monday 6:00-8:00pm
U14/U15 Girls (Born 2009/2008) - Tuesday 6:00-8:00pm

U16/17/18 Boys (Born 2007, 2006, 2005) - REGISTRATION CLOSED
U16/17/18 Girls (Born 2007,2006,2005) - Thursday 6:00-8:00pm - REGISTRATION CLOSED

 - Interlocking League: In the interest of the sport and providing quality programs for all,  the game schedule will include travel outside the Kingston area to Napanee. 



Canada Soccer Guidelines by Age

FUNdamentals:

U8-U9: 5v5 Format. Games are 2x20 Minute Halves with a 5 minute half time break.

Learn To Train:

U10-U11: 7v7 Format. Games are 2x25 Minute Halves with 5 minute half time break. 

U12-13: 9v9 Format. Games are 2x35 Minute Halves with 5 minute half time break. 

Soccer For Life:

U14-U15: 11v11 Format. Games are 2 x 40 minute halves with 5 minute half time.

U16/17/18: 11v11 Format.  Games are 2 x 45 minute halves with 5 minute half time.

 



Inclement Weather Policy

If the city closes the fields due to bad weather or field conditions, we will inform coaches and members via our website and email as soon as possible. Games that are cancelled due to bad weather will not be rescheduled.

As long as the fields remain open, games will go ahead as scheduled. If bad weather occurs during the game, the referee will make a decision on whether the game will continue.
